FASHION IS MY PASSION
I got interested in fashion in my late 21, after i graduated as a B.S in Biology which i hated for four years of school time. A big decision that i made when i was 22 was that going back to school for fashion. I loved fashion the first time i knew how to sketch, to play with colors and textiles, to make pattern, to drape, to sew, and to make clothes from scratch. I figured that designing could help me to express my feelings and complete my thoughts.
I first learned how to be a designer in the United States, then had a chance to attend Paris Fashion Institute and worked in Paris, where i spent enough time to get a feel of it. "How hard is this industry?"
No matter what, fashion is still my true passion!

MY DREAM CAME TRUE
A big dream came true was to be a fashion designer. I graduated as a fashion designer in the U.S in 2003. Following my graduation, another dream came true was to have a chance to learn and work in Paris. I attended Paris Fashion Institute in Fall 2003 and then worked for Haseltine couture in Paris from 2003 to 2006.
You've got to follow your passion. You've got to figure out what it is you love- who you really are. And have the courage to do that. I believe that the only courage anybody ever needs is the courage to follow your own dreams.

MY FASHION AWARDS
- A bridal traditional dress was my first fashion award when I was a freshman. I didn't now much about pattern and sewing at that time, but my sketching teacher encouraged me to attend that competition in Houston. Surprisingly, I made it to the "Best of the Show" and I won a scholarship from Houston Chronicle.

Best of Show - Bridal Extragavanza - Houston
- Following this great achievement, I attended various fashion competitions in the U.S, which lead me to another scholarship to learn fashion in Paris after my graduation in Houston. During my school time from 1999 to 2003, I won several fashion awards in the U.S as well as learning lots of design presentation throughout the competitions.

MY WEDDING DRESS
Before the wedding a couple of months, I decided to make my own wedding dress even though I barely made something for myself. I bought all of the material in Vietnam which was not very expensive. It was hard to find luxury bridal material in Vietnam anyway, so I had to accept to work with what I had.
It was a corset A-line dress with removable trends. I made 2 trends, one was long to walk on the aisle of the church and to take photos. Another trend was short and little for the first dance. And I completed it with a long veil. Everything was simple and classic because I meant to keep this dress for my future daughter in 30 years. Hopefully she would be able to wear it!
It took me 2 months to finish all the hand embellishment, but it came out amazing that made me super happy.
